SUMMARY:Dovedale Hill Climb
DESCRIPTION:Saturday – Dovedale Hill Climb\nClassic local 11k run/walk from Wakefield to the top of Dovedale Hill along the Pigeon Valley road\, plus a 5km event for juniors from half way\, (bottom of the Hill to the top).\nRegistration\n1:15pm to 2pm in the “Whitby” car park in the middle of Wakefield Please don’t be late as many of the volunteers will also be competing\nStart Times\nTo minimise the time the crew are having to wait at the top of the hill\, check the following start times:\n1:45pm – Casual Walkers\n2:00pm – Quicker Walkers & Slower Runners (more than 34mins for a flat 5km)\n2:15pm – Main Runners Group\n2:30pm – Quicker Runners (less than 22mins for a flat 5km)\n2:45pm – 5k Juniors (NOTE start from half way water station)\nThe 11.1km course starts at the Caltex garage in Wakefield\, The course is then run along the RIGHT hand side of Pigeon Valley Rd for another 11km to the top of the hill. Stay on “Pigeon Valley Rd” all the way. Stay on the right hand side all the way. If you can’t manage 11km\, you can make up a team of two and run/walk half each. This is a one way course with competitors either jogging back down after the finish\, using forestry roads and Pigeon Valley Rd\, or carpooling and leaving a car at the top before the event. Everyone welcome. $10 entry fee\, free to members of Athletics Nelson & Waimea Harriers\, Children & Youth Students. – Waimea Harrier event
